What makes a good poem?

I believe that every poem has got its own unique potential. Every group of words serve their respective, significant meaning and support the whole poem at large. But, what does really makes a good poem? Well, first and foremost, I’m no pro nor I’ve read any kind of books that teach me about how to write poems, I just write them with heart and make the poem based on the feelings I feel the very time I’m writing it.

It's disappointing, really…

No matter how hard I try to work things out, they just don’t work out as expected, do I expect too much from life?! All I wanted is to bring back some fame that my sites once had brought (especially localy here in Davao) but apparently, I’ve failed in that particular task, since Pinoy Teens continues to flot ABOVE the 1,000,000 zone, and my personal blogjust won’t move closer to the 500,000 in the Alexa ranking. Hiling (Wish)

The next poem that I am about to present is a Tagalog Poem (sorry, I don’t have a english version of this one). My friends call it the poems of all poems, my very master piece. Though, I admit, it’s not the best of mine, but belongs to one of the most memorable. I wrote this way back when I was 1st year in high school, this is my 2nd (first english) poem I ever have had written. It was a project in my Filipino class which I wrote 15 minutes before the bell! And well, not quiet obvious that I made it in a hurry.

A Dream Come True

When I first started my online life, way back in May 2007, with my first ever domain pasawaykingdom.net, I always hoped and prayed that I could do something for myself, I mean, of course, Pasaway Kingdom was something for myself, but not that personal. I wanted to have a domain that could help me, express myself through the words I come up. I have tried achieving something with BADITS, the former poetry site of mine, well which name is not related to poems at all, plus, it’s page rank 2/10 suddenly dissappeared. (more…)
