Barcelona buys a referee to win at the Bridge

Strong statements, huh, but I have got nothing better to say. Indeed I have to agree with Guus Hiddink, who said that it has been one, if not the worst game he has ever witnessed from the refereeing point of view, and it truly was. We start of with Florent Malouda of the blues going down inside the Penalty territory, yet the Barca defender was able to escape with a free kick just outside of the box. Anelka’s shot has surely hit the hand of Pique which was raised sky high but what did the referee do? He just continued to play on. And what the two other calls inside the box that the Norwegian referee has not given?

There have been at least 4 or more cases when the referee should have blown the whistle in favor of Chelsea, but he didn’t; it looks like consipiracy and the overacting of Didier Drogba after the match might end up with a sanctions, but what do you expect from the players, when even the fans are going crazy after being denied four penalty kicks and a couple of fouls in danger zone? It’s embarrasing and definitely not a worthy march for Barcelona to face Manchester United.

Though, I hate Manchester United, I hope they can beat Barcelona once and for all to at least save the English football in the international scene.
