Aside that, for those who feel that they are not quite lucky in online draws, and can’t anticipate the 24th of the month, you can go ahead and purchase the theme at a discounted price if you subscribe to their RSS Feed.
WordPress.Com now on WP 2.7!
The big migration from the former UI that most people enjoyed during WordPress 2.5.x until 2.6.5 specifically, to the new WordPress 2.7 UI has been completed successfully for the people over at WordPress.Com, the amount of positive feedback speaks for itself and people pretty much seem to like the change, whilst there are still some of them who have not really come to appreciate all the work done behind the scene, and I’m sad to say one of them.
Even if I’m using WordPress 2.7 Release Candidate 1, it’s still messy for me, even though I’ve recently said that I like the changes conducted. One thing that I am really looking forward to is the addition of some other administration themes aside the present two.
But anyways, in general, I have to say that WordPress is really heading to the right direction.
Starting Over in German Taste
I’m glad to inform everyone that I have resigned from serving the Philippine Youth via the web blog that I myself has created and will start writing on this blog, my personal web blog instead.
I’m “starting over” again, thus, I’m again starting with a new theme, this time in a casual German taste. While looking for nice templates, I discovered a Twitter like WordPress Theme, and a lot of other cool designs, even one from the Revolution Two Series.
Awaiting WordPress 2.7? Don't rush!
Don’t let your excitement about WordPress 2.7 overcome you and make you decided to try a nightly build on your live blog, the outcome will be everything else but nice? I don’t think so.
I’m running it here on KevinPaquet.Com now and it still looks pretty ugly as of this very moment. You may want to check how the expected changes for WordPress 2.7 look like on a post that I’ve written about it.
WordCamp Philippines, late reaction
So, here it goes. I was at WordCamp Philippines Saint Benilde 2 Saturdays ago. It wasn’t that bad really, but the unexpected role of back to back sponsored talks really got on my nerves. Others might found it interesting, but I did not like them at all.
WordPress is a year older^^,)
If not mistaken, today is WordPress’ Birthday! Yet another year of success and happiness that they have brought to the thousands of users, including me. WordPress has developed into a huge blogging script (which can even be used as CMS), and guys, everything has started from a very small thing way back. But here we are, celebrating another birthday of our favorite blogging tool.
